#LFW SS15: Simone Rocha Review

Simone Rocha: #SS15, London Fashion Week

On it’s final day #LFW takes a much needed drop in pace, the Simone Rocha #SS15 show allows us to wake gently after a packed out week, even the models stride sleepily as if after escaping a wild night.

Simone Rocha can do little to surprise me anymore, 6 seasons in I’ve come to expect only wonderful things, truthfully she’s one of my favourite current designers, a bit of an icon even, so maybe I’m a little bias.
The 39 strong collection showed everything we’ve come to expect from Rocha, mixing of weights, the addition of unexpected elements to traditional cuts and shapes. I’m talking, of course, about the jacquard with fur trim dresses, the organza trench coats with signature scalloped, crisp white wings adorning the hips.

Trade jacquard and organza for black lace and Simone Rocha outlines the silhouette with more scalloped edges, from dresses to gloves and socks and shoes, creating a look that is both tactile and romantic for SS15.
